FOR PIZZA SHOPS
A pizza menu is really a price grid: every pizza in three or four sizes, every topping costing more on a bigger base, and a midweek deal on top. Keyed by hand at the counter, that grid leaks a little money on every order. Built into the menu once, it prices itself — at the counter, on the phone and online.

Extra toppings on a large are charged at the small price, because nobody remembers the grid on a Friday.
The deal is a poster on the wall, and everyone on the till applies it differently.
A delivery two miles away costs the customer the same as one round the corner.
Every pizza in sizes, each with its own price — on the till and on your ordering site
Each size with its own toppings and extras, at their own prices
Buy-one-get-one-free, percentage and money-off deals by day and time, on the till, online and at the table — switched on with our team
Delivery fees by distance band, each with its own minimum order, and free delivery over an amount you choose
Customers can order ahead for a set time later the same day, if you switch it on
Your own ordering site at 0% commission, with Deliveroo orders on the same screen
Size and toppings are picked on the screen, so the price is right before anyone says it out loud.
When an order meets tonight’s deal, the discount is worked out for you — on the till and online alike.
Pizzas print at the pizza station and sides at their own, with every topping written on the ticket.
The delivery fee comes from the distance, and the address is on the ticket.
Set each pizza up with its sizes and a price for each one. Then give every size its own group of toppings, so an extra topping costs what it should on a large and on a small. Bases, crusts and dips work the same way, as required or optional choices. The till and your ordering site read the same menu, so the grid is right wherever the order is taken.
Buy-one-get-one-free, a percentage off or money off, by day and time: set up once with our team, then worked out the same way on the till, online and at the table. A meal deal at a fixed price can be one item with its choices, such as a pizza, a side and a drink.
Set delivery fees by distance band, each band with its own minimum order, and make delivery free over an amount you choose. Phone orders on the till use the same fees as your ordering site. If you switch it on, customers can order ahead for a set time later the same day. Deliveroo orders come onto the same screen.
Free guides based on official sources: VAT on takeaway food, the real cost of delivery app commission, opening a takeaway, allergen information, commercial waste and grease, the minimum wage and business rates. All of them are on the guides page, and there is more on running a takeaway on the takeaways page.
Not at the moment. Each pizza is one item with its own size and toppings. If half-and-half is a big part of your trade, raise it in the demo before you decide.
Not as a fixed bundle price. The deals that work today are buy-one-get-one-free, percentage off and money off, by day and time. A fixed-price meal can be set up as one item with its choices.
By distance from your shop, in bands you set, each with its own fee and minimum order. You can also make delivery free over an amount. The same rules apply to phone orders taken on the till.
Yes. HMRC treats delivery of cooked, ready-to-eat food as catering, which is standard-rated. VAT on takeaway food has the detail.
